Enjoying the pool!!!

So...we are really glad that we opened the pool this year. We have really been enjoying it!! I have probably been in the pool more this year than any other summer!!! Alan came up with the idea of sitting in a chair in the pool...so you never know what you are going to see! I think all of the kids have enjoyed cooling off!!

First Tomatoes!!!

Well, it's about time that I get caught up!!! There will be a few random blogs until I actually catch up.

Opening of the pool!

Well, it's time to open the pool for 2010! We didn't open it last year. Everyone seemed to want it open this year...so Kristen, Breck, and Katie came over to help open it and clean it a few weeks ago.

Hummingbird Attracter!!

Update on Tripod for Hummingbird attracter!! Alan did a great job building this holder to hold my HEAVY hummingbird attracter!! He plans to stain the wood at some point. The flowers are growing...still haven't seen any hummingbirds!!

I had the privelege of babysitting our grandpuppy and grandkitty this week. Spike just stayed in the back bathroom. Bella bounced all over the place!!! She ran round and round the dining room table...she ran through the den and jumped over the ottomans...she just didn't want to stop. Lynda tells me that Bella sleeps with her during the day after Lynda has worked all night. I thought to myself...ok...if I lay down with her...surely she will go to sleep. I grabbed a blanket and pillow and headed to the den floor. No...she is not allowed on our beds. Anyways, I laid down on the floor and this picture shows what Bella did! I just had to laugh!!!!

Monday Night Project!

Tonight after supper...we headed to Home Depot! Alan has a vision of fixing a tripod holder for the flowers that are supposed to attract hummingbirds!! This is like a topsy turvey...it is supposed to be filled with flowers that will attract hummingbirds. Well, the dirt is sooo heavy that we just can't get it to hang correctly. This is what the holder looks like now and a picture of Alan working on the new holder. Isn't he just the sweetest guy?!?!?!

Monday Morning Project!

Well...it's Monday morning! I met Lynda for breakfast...a good reason for her to get out of bed and be productive. I then ran to Walmart...got some wave petunias...and planted them in an old tree trunk out in the yard. Hoping that they will grow and thrive and look pretty to those passing by!! Oh well...just wanted to give it a try!
